Park rangers do not require college degrees, just experience. (Usually starts as volunteering). College can help but is not needed. The link below discusses it more If you want to consider broader "outdoor", University of Colorado Colorado Springs has a unique degree, A BS in Business with emphasis in Sports Management. Students intern in multiple outdoor sport management fields. We have student from UCCS working at Vail (on the business side, not on the lifts!) Colorado mountain college is good if you want to try to be a lift-operator (a job in outdoor recreation), while in school. But is that really preparing you for a career in outdoor recreation business?
