Question by : What insurance companies cover include gastric bypass or lap band procedures? The insurance I have through my job (PHCS) has verbally stated that they will not cover ANY weight loss related procedures. My doctor is wanting me to do the lap band procedure so I would like to see about getting my own insurance that will cover the cost. Any suggestions? Best answer:
