if it is a franchise then the franchisee is most likely responsible for all costs - whether he can actually get a loan for remodeling is an entirely different matter if you are thinking about buying a Franchise like that - most franchiser companies require the investor to have a lot of cash already - if you are borrowing up front, then your chances of success are severely limited - IF they even allow you to buy a Franchise

Yes. And frankly, the "immediate family" (under these sort of circumstances) doesn't include YOU. It only includes the parents and/or your brother's wife and/or children. Now does it seem odd, or is it a bit unethical, for the extended family to choose to submit an obituary? Sure. Then again, it's not illegal and in many cases it would be deemed appropriate to make sure something is filed in place of an autopsy for legal purposes.

Since it's a lot different from English, it will take a bit. And it will be frustrating! Realistically, you should have a really good grasp of the language in 6 months, but the pronunciation will never be perfect and it may take longer. If you already can speak some Mandarin, that is better and you will learn the remaining parts of the language much faster! Good luck :)

Go to the little access door on the DVR and open it and force a system reset by pressing the small red button there. It will take a few minutes to restart, but the receiver will reread its configuration and should be ok afterwards. For some reason, the DVR looses track that it has two inputs and forcing this restart will correct the situation.

You need to find out what the taxing entities are and find out what is the tax rate for the current year. A taxing entity might be: The city, county, local hospital, community college etc. Call the city to find out what the taxing entitys are. Then call the tax office and find out the tax rate. Keep in mind that the tax rate could change from year to year.

Go-Go dancers were originally 1960s-era miniskirted clubgoers, dancing at clubs such as the Whisky a Go Go (one of the first to have dancers in elevated cages), wearing go-go boots. The etymology of Go-Go may be the noun go, one of whose meanings is "power of going, energy, vigor". Or it may come from the names of the nightclubs, which ultimately come from the French à gogo, meaning "in abundance, galore".

Psychology of Surfing??? That is going to be so easy for you. All sport is "controlled risk taking". Controlled risk taking is good for children because it prevents them from engaging in "uncontrolled risk taking" like criminal behavior, drug abuse, or irresponsible sex. "Controlled risk taking" means that although you can get hurt, you usually can anticipate the amount of hurt you will suffer. "Uncontrolled" risk taking is a fools' behavior b/c it can ruin your life. Surfing is a man against nature deal - not man against man like f'ball, b'ball, or whatever, not man against himself (like golf). Don't get me wrong, surfing can be a very dangerous sport - but the risks are generally known. Surfing is accepting a challenge that is created by the nature (the weather) - it's a "because it was there" kind of thing (like climbing mount Everest). The rewards from Surfing are completely different that man-vs.-man sports. All a surfer can ever really say is "I am very good at what I do" or "I surf with other really good surfers". No surfing competitor (except a dork) would say something liek "I can beat you" (like basketball players do). Did you see "Into the Wild"? The psychology of surfing is that kind of thig: people do it mainly so that they themselves know what their limits are NOT so they can tell somebody else "I am beter than you". It is much the same psychology as sailing. So there you have a psych topic: why do man against nature sports (like surfing or any "extreme" sport) appeal to some people but other people want to play competitive sports. What is it about people psychologically that they desire to excell at competition with nature and do not desire to compete toe to toe with their friends? You can't "cheat" at surfing can you? You can't ignore the boundaries or take shortcuts - it's just not possible. So what is it about people who chose a sport where it is impossible to cheat? There is a certain admirable honesty to it no?

Doing social science is studying people, doing research, adding to our understanding of social phenomena. Social work involves helping people directly. Things like seeing that foster homes are stuitable, helping the poor get job training, or getting people various other kinds of help. (I'm not entirely clear on this, myself.) Uh, getting a Bachelor's degree takes about 4 years, whichever field one chooses. No, the two degrees aren't the same (though you'd probably take a few of the same classes, whichever you went for).

It is certainly true that astronomy has been very important. Another aspect of its importance is to be able to know when to plant seeds. However, these days, there are some things that should be known by all, but astronomy does not need to be known to all. It is a good part of education to provide a proper perspective of reality, but details of astronomy are just not needed by everyone.

There is a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Welcher. She says that if you follow the plan in the book and you are a normal healthy couple then you should conceive in-at most-4-6 cycles. She actually says it should take less than that assuming everything is alright. This book is great! I highly recommend it.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. If you put in a caiman, croc, or turtle that can eat alot of fish or go after any fish they see like a Red Eared Slider then your fish are screwed. If you want an aquatic turtle then you would really want to put in in a different tank beside being with the fish. NOW, you can add feeder fish (Rosy Red Minnows) to them so they can have at least some fish to eat. Other than that don't put an aquatic reptile like a freshwater turtle. I'm just given you a heads up on that.

The UKBA - or United Kingdom Border Agency catches Illegal Immigrants in the thousands every year. They usually work under anonymous tip-offs informing them of factories, labor workers etc; however they are legally obligated to to random searches on property which they suspect may be housing more than is legally granted. But 90% of the time, the UKBA operate in places of travel, e.g. Airports, Ports etc, catching Illegal immigrants though false passport and VISA checks.

You didn't record them at home. You just went to a store and purchased what you wanted. If you needed to record, then you would have to find a recording studio, and pay $ $ $ . Reel to Reel tape existed, but most people didn't have it. Serious people wanting to record probably used it. Cassette tape was the first media that let almost everyone record at home.

If a compound contains a C atom that is attached to 4 different atoms or groups, then it will be 'optically active' & have optical isomers. The simplest example is lactic acid- CH3- CH(OH)CO2H- the 4 groups /atoms make it have a laevo rotatory, & dextro rotatory isomers, which are mirror images - identical, but not super imposable, & hence asymmetric .More about this can be had from a good organic chemistry text. Coming to the compds: peroxyacetic acid & ethanol are not optically active . Fructose is a keto hexose : a sugar containing six C atoms , & a ketone group. It has five asymmetric C atoms, & hence can have 2*5 optical isomers[ plus several other aldohexose isomers like glucose. Nature is symmetrically asymmetric, in a sense . that is why we have the different DNA/RNA combinations ,......

Park rangers do not require college degrees, just experience. (Usually starts as volunteering). College can help but is not needed. The link below discusses it more If you want to consider broader "outdoor", University of Colorado Colorado Springs has a unique degree, A BS in Business with emphasis in Sports Management. Students intern in multiple outdoor sport management fields. We have student from UCCS working at Vail (on the business side, not on the lifts!) Colorado mountain college is good if you want to try to be a lift-operator (a job in outdoor recreation), while in school. But is that really preparing you for a career in outdoor recreation business?

My great-grandmother's real German stollen - I remember her, than my grandmother and now my mom making it and giving it as Christmas presents every year to friends and family. The recipe was brought from Germany by my great-great-grandmother in the 1800s. Dresdner Stollen To make two 13-inch loaves ½-cup seedless raisins ½-cup dried currants 1-cup mixed candied citrus peel ¼- cup candied angelica, cut into ¼-inch dice ½-cup candied cherries, cut in half ½-cup rum ¼-cup lukewarm water (110º to 115º) 2-packages or cakes of dry or compressed yeast ¾-cup plus a pinch of sugar 5 ½-cups plus 2 tablespoons all purpose flour 1-cup milk ½ -teaspoon salt ½ -teaspoon almond extract ½-teaspoon finely grated fresh lemon peel 2 eggs at room temperature ¾ -cup unsalted butter cut into ¼-inch bits and softened 8-tablespoons melted unsalted butter 1-cup blanched slivered almonds ¼ cup confectioner's sugar, sifted Combine the raisins, currants, candied citrus peel, angelica and cherries in a bowl. Pour rum over them, tossing the fruit about to coat the pieces evenly. Soak at least 1 hour. . Pour the lukewarm water into a small bowl and sprinkle it with the years and a pinch of sugar. Let the mixture stand for 2 or 3 minutes, then stir to dissolve the yeast completely. Set the bowl in a warm, draft free place (such as a turned off oven) for about 5 minutes or until the mixture almost doubles in volume. Meanwhile drain the fruit, reserving the rum, and carefully pat the pieces completely dry with paper towels. Place the fruit in a bowl, sprinkle it with 2 tablespoons of flour, and turn it about with a spoon until the flour is completely absorbed. Set aside. In a heavy 1 ½ - to 2- quart saucepan, combine the milk, ½-cup of the sugar and the salt. Heat to lukewarm (110º to 115º), stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Off the heat, stir in the reserved rum, the almond extract and the fresh lemon peel, and finally the yeast mixture. Place the 5 cups of flour in a large bowl and with a fork stir in the yeast mixture, a cup at a time. Beat the eggs until frothy and stir them into the dough then beat in the bits of softened butter. Gather the dough into a ball and place it on a board sprinkled with the remaining ½-cup of flour. Knead the dough, by pushing it down with the heels of your hands, pressing it forward and folding it back on itself. Continue the kneading for about 15 minutes, or until all the flour is incorporated and the dough is smooth and elastic. Flour your hands lightly from time to time. Now press the fruit and almonds into the dough, 1/3 cup or so at a time, but do not knead or handle it too much or the dough will discolor. Coat a deep bowl with 1 teaspoon of melted butter and drop in the dough. Brush the top of the dough with another 2 teaspoons of melted butter, drape a towel over the bowl and set it in a warm place for 2 hours, or until the dough doubles in bulk. Punch the dough down and divide it into two equal pieces. Let them rest for 10 minutes, then roll the pieces out into strips about 12 inches long, 8 inches wide and ½-inch thick. Brush each strip with 2 tablespoons of the remaining butter and sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of the remaining sugar. Fold each strip lengthwise in the following fashion: bring one long end over the center of the strip and press the edge down lightly. Then fold the other long side across it, overlapping the seam down the center by about 1 inch. Press the edge gently to keep it in place. With lightly floured hands, taper the ends of the loaf slightly and pat the sides gently together to mound it in the center. The finished loaf should be about 3 ½ to 4 inches wide and 13 inches long. With a pastry brush, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter, coat the bottom of an 11 by 17 inch jellyroll pan. Place the loaves on the pan and brush them with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Set the loaves aside in a warm draft free place for about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Preheat the oven to 375º. Then bake the bread in the middle of the oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown and crusty. Transfer the loaves to wire racks to cool completely. Just before serving, sprinkle the loaves with the sifted confectioner's sugar. I frost mine with thin butter cream frosting.

It will be impossible to find a "quality" home theater setup for less than 200 dollars. That being said, you can get a sub-par setup for less than 200, and i would say that a bad system is better than no system. :) I got mine for $ 760 dollars on amazon. It's a 7.1 channel, and it supports the new high definition audio formats.

My first stop would be wikipedia or google for a quick reference. I actually had a similar question not even 5 days ago, but I couldn't find the answer. If it's possible, try getting help from someone with more knowledge/experience/expertise, like a professional if it's possible. This can be pretty important. I saw a forum with this online, but I didn't have time to read it all. Try checking it out. I want to help out more, but I'm not 100% sure about the answer. Sorry I'm not much help. I hope you found your answer! Good luck! JS http://en.wikipedia.org/ http://www.google.ca/ http://ask.com/

When you are renting from family you do have to take into consideration what type of conditions the family member is putting on you. If you are renting from grandma and she is a very uptight no sex before marriage type of gal, but she's letting you rent the pool house for 50 bucks a month, you may have to suck it up and have your trysts elsewhere. It is best when renting from family to anticipate these kind of issue and write the expectations into the lease from the beginning. If the two homes are not connected in anyway, then any activity that goes on in the rental home should be okay, provided that it is legal and doesn't disturb the people in the other house. In any rental situation, there is a difference between a guest and an unregistered tenant. The standard is that anyone staying more than 10 nights in a month is a tenant and must be on the lease. the law recognizes that anyone who has slept somewhere for 14 consecutive nights and has received mail is a tenant and must be legally evicted if they refuse to leave. Be sure you try to find out why your relative is taking issue with your overnight guest. If they are just trying to decide who you date, then that's something you should address with the lease, or move. But it may be more of an issue of them covering themselves legally. And if the two homes are adjoined, keep in mind that anyone you invite into your home potentially has access to theirs, and vice versa
